Here are some of my recommendations for each order:

- It's always great to read a book that inspired a movie - The Tale of Despereaux, with color movie photos
- A Celebrate America hardcover pop-up book shows some famous American sites, including a pop-up of the White House. I have this in my classroom, and the children LOVE when we look at it.
- The hardcover 2009 version of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! is an amazing book for the whole family
- There are also some boxed sets of our favorite series, such as: Magic Tree House, A to Z Mysteries, Jigsaw Jones, Little House on the Prairie, and Geronimo Stilton

- Another book that inspired a movie - Inkheart
- The Book of World Records 2009 has over 300 amazing world records!
- A cool Astronomy book with a bonus clip art CD
- There are also some boxed sets of our favorite series, such as: Harry Potter, Goosebumps, Chronicles of Narnia, and Star Wars
- Computer games: Civil War, Farm Vet, Kid Pix, and Print Shop
- Wii and Nintendo DS games: Zoo Hospital, FutureU SAT Prep, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader, and Math Games
- other DVD's and books on CD available

Mrs.Dowd,
Are the kids still participating in the pizza hut program?
Yes, as long as they hand in their book review each month, they will receive a Pizza Hut certificate. The December certificate should have been brought home before the break. If you did not get one, let me know.
